Gold hearted person who used to give freely now needs help herself

 Hi my name is Karen Thompson and I have a very true story to tell. I am afraid to tell it because of what people may think but at the same time, I feel I must be honest.

  In 1997 I was in a car crash where I was hit by a drunk driver which left me with several broken bones and a cuncushion. I was placed on pain meds for about two years. At the time I was working as a nurse, married with two kids and an avid church goer, nice home etc. To make a long story short, I became addicted to these horrible pills and decided to tell my doctor who then abruptly took  me off. I became very ill and during this illness I desperately and insanely called in my own prescriptions, in attemps to ween myself off. ( Had I not been so desperate, I'd never done such a thing) I have never been in trouble, nor did drugs. Well I got caught and was placed in prison for eight long years, I was released in July of 04 to a world who does'nt want felons in it. I can't get a job not even waitressing, I can't get help with social services because my felon is drug related. I have no transportation, no home ( my husband is now with someone else) I have nothing. I am living with a friend. I am very depressed and hopeless. I remember once helping anyone I could but now I need help and no one seems to want to help me or rather is not able to. I do not even have a dollar to my name and I need any and all help I can get. I have no clothes nor do my children. I am eating my friends food and they make very little themselves.

Please, if you have a heart please help me. I want to start my own business somehow being thats the only way I will be able to survive. (I can't get money for school either because I am a felon and even with an education, no one will hire me) I need ideas and money and friends and when I am back on my feet I promise I will return it to others who are in need. Please help me.
